Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The Moriah International Center has entered into cooperation agreements with The Rothberg International School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in such a way that participants in our programs receive the certificate from the University itself.

The Hebrew University is consistently ranked in the “Academic Ranking of World Universities” (ARWU) as the best university in Israel, in addition to being ranked among the 70 most important universities in the world.

About the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is the most important in Israel. It currently has about 23,000 students and more than 1000 teachers. Since its founding in 1925, the University has delivered more than 120,000 academic degrees. The University has 5 campuses and 9 colleges. Nine professors at the University received the Nobel Prize.

The National University Library is the largest library at the Hebrew University and has one of the most impressive collections of manuscripts in the world. The Jewish and Hebrew collections are the largest in the world. It has more than 5 million books and thousands of items in special sections, many are unique. Among them are Albert Einstein’s files. In his will, Albert Einstein left the Hebrew University with all his personal documents and intellectual copyright, as well as the rights to use his image. Albert Einstein’s Archives contain approximately 55.000 items.

Frank Sinatra, donated more than a million dollars to the American Friends of the Hebrew University in 1970.

In 1978, Sinatra went to Israel to receive the National Scopus Prize and to create Frank Sinatra’s International Student Center on the Hebrew University’s Mount Scopus campus. On the University campuses, the names of several of the famous honorees are inscribed on a stone wall – Frank Sinatra, Albert Einstein, Barbra Streisand, Steven Spielberg and others.
